Here at ACE Marine Images we have a fervent belief that a camera operator who focusses on editing too early in the game will only hinder their own ability to develop their camera skills. As with photography, one cannot fix technically bad images with photoshop and we should not try to. Instead, we should aim for perfection as we press the shutter release and not give up until we have achieved the desired result. This is the same with filmmaking, and indeed it is rare that a cameraman, or woman, will be directly involved in the editing process at the post production stage of any documentary. The pro's tend to specialise but as a fully self contained film production company we also do our own in house editing and as a result we can offer you excellent instruction in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, 2 of the industry standards.
