ACE Marine Images Photoshop Courses
Back in the 'not so good ole days' there was nothing quite like developing your own images and printing them with the enlarger in the darkroom. Using simple wire and card paddles to burn and dodge your images, adjusting exposure and cropping for that award winning photo. It was incredibly expensive and I was lucky enough to have very understanding parents who supported my addiction to the quest, and possibly to the fumes of the toxic chemicals.
Nowadays most of us shoot our stills in digital format and the days of the darkroom and all the antics that came with it are gone. In its place we have the most amazing software, Adobe Photoshop; whether you want to recrop, adjust exposures, burn and dodge, change the colours or superimpose your friends face onto the ugliest fish in the ocean, it can all be done and we are now offering a brand new course to teach you how!
This tiger was photographed in London Zoo back when I was 16. No matter how many sheets of Ilford glossy 10 by 8 inch paper I went through I just couldn't get it quite right. Now, thanks to a scanner and Photoshop I have managed to remove all the scratches from the old neg, get all the levels right and he's even got green eyes just to add to the impact. He now sits proudly on my studio wall and he's about life size too. It really is amazing what you can achieve with photoshop whether it is basic retouching or graphic design.
As a fully self contained film production and photography company we have all the post production abilities neccessary to get the job done and get it done well. As well as offering Asia's leading underwater video training, our Adobe courses will teach you all the great tools and techniques used by the world's top graphic designers and retouchers including all the selection techniques, the rest is up to your imagination. We also offer introductory courses in Adobe Illustrator for those who think size should not matter and wish to get serious about vector based design!
We produced this logo for Evan Kovacs, cameraman for the Deep Sea detectives, using a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator. For more samples of our graphic design click on his logo!
